THE CORNER SHOP
The humbly-named Corner Shop is in fact a gourmet grocery store, café, bakery and wine bar rolled into one. Expect fresh juices and jams made in-house, delicious breads and baked goods, a stunning salad bar and other first-class takeaway items.

THE HART
A cosy new pub in Marylebone from the team behind The Parakeet and The Hero. Go for a classic British pub experience – elevated with local ingredients from the restaurant’s garden at Bruern Farms.

THE INCUBATOR
This beautiful Chiltern Street gallery champions exciting emerging talents in the art world. (Kasia Wozniak and Nina Ogden are among the rising stars who have exhibited there in recent years). A must-visit during Frieze.

REFERENCE POINT
Described as a library, bookstore and bar, tantalizing hard and softcover counterculture vintage books and zines abound along with a gathering space that functions as a social hub for London creatives. Fun for a visit.

DOVE
A new Notting Hill neighbourhood gem from chef Jackson Boxer, specialising in quality, seasonal British ingredients and elevated casual fare. The décor echoes the food: simple, elegant and charmingly relaxed.

THE RIVER CAFE
Ruth Rogers’ legendary Italian restaurant on the Thames manages to be both effortlessly elegant and delightfully relaxed, with arguably the best Tuscan menu in London. Don’t miss the Charcoal Grilled Squid, a fixture on the menu for decades, and the Chocolate Nemesis for dessert.

LEIGHTON HOUSE
Take a peek at the former private residence and studio of Victorian artist, Frederic Leighton. Influenced by his travels all over the world, the space is noted for elaborate recreations of far eastern and romanesque aesthetics along with a lively collection of Pre-Raphaelite paintings.

CLOTH
A classic bistro with modern British cuisine in an historical neighborhood, located on Cloth Fair behind St. Bartholomew’s Church in central London (and down the street from one of the city’s oldest residential buildings). Excellent food in an authentic setting that feels very Old World.

MORCHELLA
This buzzed-about restaurant in Clerkenwell features a Mediterranean-inspired menu – much of it meant to be shared – with hits like salt cod churros, mussel pil pil and a mean spanakopita. Bonus if you like funky biodynamic wines.

THE BARBICAN
The Barbican is the largest performing arts centre in Europe, playing host to film screenings, concerts and art exhibitions in addition to being home to the London Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Shakespeare Company. Always things to see and do.

OMOROVICZA MAYFAIR INSTITUTE
Last year, the cult Hungarian skincare brand opened its first spa outside of Budapest on South Audley Street – a dreamy space modeled after the famed 16th-century Rác thermal bath in Hungary. Book their signature Andrassy Skin Therapy Session, a 90-minute, personalised facial massage.

MIGA
This buzzy, family-run Korean restaurant in East London lives up to the hype with delicious plates at a fair price. Don’t miss the soy-braised short ribs and mung bean pancakes.

LEOS
A chic Italian cafe by day with excellent espresso, croissants, plates of lasagna, etc, the evening transforms this busy neighborhood spot into a candlelight, aperitivo, antipasto, duck ragu gem.

THE V&A EAST STOREHOUSE
A new exhibition space, the V&A East Storehouse in Hackney is home to over 250,000 objects from the Victoria & Albert Museum’s collections. The V&A has billed it as immersive, behind-the-scenes experience of the museum, where you can browse endless storage racks of treasures.

CHISENHALE GALLERY
Featuring the first UK exhibition by New York-based artist Grant Mooney, 'Sphere Music' at the Chisenhale Gallery features a series of interconnected, conductive artworks installed inside and outside the of the building. Highlights include the large aluminium harp mounted on the gallery’s roof, activated solely by the wind.

THE DREAMERY
This artisanal ice cream and wine bar in the residential De Beauvoir Town neighbourhood serves up sophisticated flavours – gingerbread, prune, chocolate olive oil and oolong, to name a few – alongside easy-drinking, natural wines. An unexpectedly delicious pairing.

THE PARAKEET
Affectionately known as a ‘North London boozer,’ serving satisfying pub fare with a pint of Guinness or a glass of wine. A cozy wood paneled atmosphere beckons where everyone is welcome.

CAMDEN ART CENTRE
Tucked away in Hampstead, this unassuming gallery regularly shows some of the most interesting exhibitions of contemporary art. The highlight of Frieze Week is “Tendered,” the first institutional solo exhibition in the UK by the artist and filmmaker Karimah Ashadu.

AGORA
This unfussy souvla bar on the outskirts of Borough Market delivers masterful Greek-inspired cuisine. Think silky tahini dips with warm flatbreads, juicy pork skewers and authentic Greek salad – all perfect for sharing. Tables are limited so secure a booking if you can.

RAMBUTAN
This lively Sri Lankan restaurant in Borough Market has an open-fire kitchen and a warm, happy vibe. Among the highlights are buttermilk fried chicken, gundu dosas and prawn curry.

BFI SOUTHBANK
A fabulous cinema that shows obscure arthouse films as well as re-releases of classics, from Bergman’s Wild Strawberries to The Breakfast Club. You can also browse over 95,000 titles from the BFI National Archive on private screens at the BFI Mediatheque.

NATIONAL THEATRE
Founded by Sir Laurence Olivier, this cultural institution has been tasked ever since with providing the utmost in staged performance. Current must-sees include Nima Taleghani's Bacchae, a modern retelling of Euripides' Greek tragedy, and David Lan'sThe Land of the Living, a powerful drama about displaced children in post-World War II Bavaria.
