There is little we love more than the figurative breaking of bread with others and our friend Skye McAlpine’s new book, A Table Full of Love, is full of recipes – inspired by her time in that most romantic of cities, Venice – that are perfect for sharing. Her rhubarb and almond cake is a sweet treat worthy of Valentine’s Day itself.
Natürliche Liebe
Our favourite way to celebrate our nearest and dearest is by sharing a bottle of Fuchs Und Hase Pet Nat. Fittingly, it’s the brainchild of a pair of friends, Austrians Martin and Anna Arndorfer and Alwin and Stefanie Jurtschitsch, who set up a winery dedicated exclusively to single fermentation sparkling wines. This fourth volume, from 2020, is appley, dry and clean, and just the drop for a toast to togetherness.
Love In Stereo
This year we’re swapping love songs for this selection of slow-down-and-focus sounds from Love Supreme Projects, our go-to yoga-and-beyond space in Notting Hill. 50 minutes of soothing serenity makes a welcome gift to our on-the-go selves.
Faith, Hope, And Charity
It was at a Love Supreme Sunday Special yoga class here in London, in fact, where Métier founder Melissa first met Valeria and Tatiana Samborskya (themselves yogis in their native Ukraine), who last year fled for Poland before a heartwarming chain of love and community brought them to London. They now head up British Homes and Schools for Ukrainians to extend that love to others forced out of their homes by the war, a story of resonance almost a year after the invasion began. We’re proud to have made a donation to this important cause on behalf of the Métier community and we’re sharing more information in case you want to learn more and make your own donation.
